Which solar power plant to choose (grid, stand-alone or hybrid) – you need to figure out which one is needed for your needs. The grid SES is able not only to provide the household with the necessary electricity, but also to use it for sale at a “green” tariff. Autonomous SESs are designed for completely autonomous power supply of objects in the absence of power supply from the network. There are several mandatory conditions for connecting a “green” tariff:

1. The maximum power of the solar station is no more than 30 kW, or 50 kW if installed only on roofs.
2. At the address of the household, there must be a house and a document confirming that it is put into operation.
3. The supplied power to the house should not be less than the power of the station.
4. It is necessary to provide a complete package of documents to connect the “green” tariff

The payback period of a solar power plant depends on two factors: the household’s own consumption and the capacity of the SPP. The greater the consumption at the address of the house, the larger the power plant should be chosen. For example, a network SES of 30 kW with a consumption of 3,600 kV/year will pay for itself to the owners in approximately 4 years.

Prices for increasing capacity and installation of a two-way meter vary depending on the region. However, the difference in amounts is quite insignificant. In 2022, you can focus on the following prices: power increase – UAH 2,000/kW, bidirectional meter – UAH 15,000.

When choosing equipment, it is best to be guided by the long-known categories of price and quality and choose the most optimal option for you. The solar station does not require special maintenance. It is enough for the owner to carry out its periodic inspection and control the production indicators. Everything depends on the power of the selected solar power plant. For example, SES 5 kW are installed in 1-2 days, 10-20 kW – from 3-4 days, 20-30 kW – 5-9 days. On the roof, the station is mounted faster, since there is no need to construct a ground metal frame. One of the components that also affects the mounting terms is the complexity of the object. The actual installation time will be predicted by the engineer during a direct inspection of your facility.

It is possible to insure a solar power plant, but not all insurance companies provide this service. It is quite possible that in the event of abnormal weather phenomena, such as storms, hurricanes or hailstorms, the panels can be significantly damaged. Therefore, it is better to spend additional funds and insure the station. The approximate cost of insurance is 0.7% of its cost per year.
